The Cleanse, Day 7

Aaahhh the difference a good night’s sleep makes!  Earplugs in and I was dead to the world.  I woke up with lots of energy and feeling great.  Since we had scheduled a Mother’s Day brunch with my  in-laws, I had a Lara bar for breakfast.

Brunch was a challenge.  Overall, I did well on staying on the Cleanse, except for one egg Benedict and a little smoked salmon.  Oh, and 2 bites of coconut cake my husband had.  THAT was a strange sensation – the sugar overloaded my taste buds and my mouth felt funny.  I didn’t really feel deprived (maybe because I cheated!).  Most times when I consider eating something off the Cleanse, I remember how great I feel and I don’t want that to change.

After 4 hours working in the yard this afternoon after my in-laws left, I was starved!  For dinner I ate a small salad and an Amy’s organic frozen dinner – Santa Fe Enchilada.  Amy’s products are frequently gluten-free and taste great.
