The Cleanse, Day 15
It is great for me to have space in my life. I thrive in the right balance of doing and being, and I have learned recently that it is a delicate balance for me. I think doing the Cleanse has raised the awareness of more than food in my life. As I enter the final week of the Cleanse, I feel that balance returning and I feel an underlying sense of peace and calm.
I went out to lunch today with my friend to Café Americain. I had the Greek salad (no meat), and I ate the pita that comes with it (I know… but progress not perfection!). By the time I got home I felt so tired, that I had to take a nap! I don’t know, of course, that it was the bread that caused my energy crash, but I suspect that it was.
Also, one of the Detox Bootcamp participants shared with me that she ate meat after going home, and that it didn’t agree with her, and that the coffee she drank the next morning did not taste good to her any longer!
Amazing how our bodies send us signals – constantly – if we are only committed to listen. One of the sayings in Nia is that “the body never lies.” The mind can fool us, but our bodies always reflect the truth of what’s going on in our lives.
